has been booked! 2010 Fall workshop

October 23 - 24th 2010
Mike Schmidt resides in Ohio and has tied commercially for private clients and
several shops for well over a decade. He participates in many
different fly fishing shows and is very willing to demo tie and interact with
show goers. Mike's passion is for Classic Winged Wet flies and
Streamer patterns. He is very progressive and stays extremely
current with new materials, patterns and techniques. Mike fishes
when he is not tying and he ties when he is not sleeping- so make sure you are
prepared to absorb quite a bit of info in these custom workshops.
Collecting survey email replies from
past workshop students is resulting in interest in Mike's Classic Winged
Wet flies and his Streamers with general Trout patterns coming in third.
As a result, at this early time, we are thinking of the following:
1 day will be a full day workshop
featuring Classic Winged Wet fly patterns. All
materials will be provided. Students are asked to bring their
tools and basic assortment of threads.
1 day will be a full day workshop featuring Modern
Streamer patterns. The goal of this workshop will
be to introduce you to numerous streamer patterns featuring current
materials and techniques. Note- these are productive
streamer patterns that you can use for trout, steelhead, warm & salt
water species. All materials will be provided.
Students are asked to bring their tools and basic assortment
of threads.
These classes are on a first-come-first-served basis.
