The X-Caddis is a pattern that we believe was created by Craig Matthews and John Juracek. Our version however, is a pattern designed by Dennis Potter of Michigan. This is, without a doubt, one of his favorite patterns. The fly also serves as a system fly, meaning it can be tied in any size and any color to match your hatch. It floats just like the Elk Hair Caddis and produces as much, if not more, activity. Dennis has a new video out that covers this fly and his other effective patterns.
Note: 'hair" is a very particular material used in fly tying. The x-caddis patterns require a "specific" deer hair for optimum effectiveness while tying. We strive to find this hair and include it for your convenience.
