The Comparadun dry fly is a very effective dry fly pattern that is tied with different material by different tiers. Craig Matthews and John Juracek created the original pattern which calls for a deer hair wing. Our fly is tied with a new synthetic material called Siliconized Polypropylene Yarn. This special poly wing material is the flagship product of Peter Smith of the UK who owns and operates a fly tying material business called "Niche" Products-...hence our name the Compara-Niche. This is a system fly, meaning all you have to do is change the body and tail color to match your particular hatch.
We have included 2 different tail colors and 2 different body colors in each kit.
Each "Fly-Kit"tm includes:
a custom tied fly, carefully packaged in a small plastic box.
