GR-Hopper "Fly-Kit"tm

             

Grasshopper patterns have been around for a very long time with some of the most popular being created by Ed Schenk and Dave Whitlock.   The use of various kinds of foam has also gained popularity as tiers strive to build segmented bodies that offer durability and floatability.    Our hopper is undoubtedly designed after many “older” patterns.    However, our use of foam and hair together to form a “bullethead” is unique and produces a semi-realistic pattern for warm and cold water fish.   

Our GR-Hopper kit comes with several different colors of wing and leg material so you can tie different color combinations. 

Each "Fly-Kit"tm  includes:

  •  a custom tied fly, carefully packaged in a small plastic box.

  • color, digital, photographs of the tying steps.

  • a letter including material preparation tips & other information.

  • premium hooks in our favorite size.

  • all the necessary materials, hand selected, to tie eleven additional flies.
