Black Stone Nymph  "Fly-Kit"^tm

Stone Fly Nymphs are essential to a nymph fly fisher.  Popular patterns such as the Kaufmann Stone are tied, bought and fished everywhere in the country.  Close to home, we were recently exposed to a stone pattern tied and fished by Jeff “Bear” Andrews of Michigan.  Jeff “Bear” Andrews is well known for being a talented fly tier and avid trout and steelhead fly fisherman.  His newer stone fly pattern is called “Ben’s Stone” and features a colored black copper wire he purchased while shopping in a Ben Franklin store.  Utilizing his tying steps, as well as several others, we have developed our Balck Stone, which features “lead-free” wire, Vinyl rib, and a synthetic wing-case material called Stretch-flex.

Each "Fly-Kit"^tm  includes:

•  a custom tied fly, carefully packaged in a small plastic box.

• color, digital, photographs of the tying steps.
