Full-motion Crayfish

We believe Dave Whitlock has tied and successfully fished some of the earliest
“semi-realistic” crayfish patterns for bass and larger trout. And,
undoubtedly the Clouser minnow tied in the correct colors has been used as
well. The Full-motion Crayfish was first showed to us by Steve May from Grand
River Troutfitters (www.grandrivertroutfitters.com). I approached them asking
if they had a "good" crayfish pattern as they are known to chase good size Brown
trout and Smallmouth bass? Steve responded by throwing this fly on the table
in front of me and saying "it's deadly- try it out". They have step-by-step
tying instructions on their website detailing their fly exactly as they tie and
fish it. Our kit follows their pattern virtually 100%.
